This was Nava’s first film and it was a joy to collaborate with her on it. She had joined a writing group I started in 2015 and wrote the script for Waking Hour for it.

I ended up joining the production as a general consultant and I also edited the film, which was produced for a total of $6K.

Nava’s talent was exceptional and clear to me from the beginning, proving that an artist doesn’t need a fancy film education to become a great filmmaker.
