At 25 years old, I had already gotten sick of working in reality TV and briefly left the film industry to work at an events agency. However, I eventually pitched making video content for the company’s events and the CEO greenlit my projects.

This particular video was one of several I made for a musician series the company produced for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, in partnership with Motorola.

I really loved Kaki King’s music at the time and produced this event myself, bringing King to Los Angeles. I hired several of my friends from film school and got to spend an evening with one of my favorite musicians. It was so so fun.
